Software Engineer I

Responsibilities
- • Develop knowledge of the assigned business domain, application functionality, and testing requirements.
- • Review business and technical requirements to identify gaps or inconsistencies.
- • Coordinate with QA leads to define appropriate test scenarios.
- • Design test cases that cover the identified scenarios.
- • Execute tests and document defects found during testing.
- • Perform functional, smoke, regression, and non-functional testing.
- • Investigate defects and retest applications after fixes are implemented.
- • Record, assess, and communicate test outcomes.
- • Use tools such as Microsoft Excel to prepare quality metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
- • Support quality, security, and testing best practices within the team.
- • Contribute to testing activities across application releases and collaborate with team members to deliver reliable results.
Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent qualification.
- • At least 0–2 years of professional software testing experience.
- • Knowledge of the software development life cycle and Scaled Agile practices.
- • Familiarity with software testing methodologies and test management tools.
- • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) is preferred.
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team and manage competing priorities.
- • ISTQB or other QA certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.
- • Familiarity with TOSCA or other low-code automation tools is an advantage.
- • Strong attention to detail, analytical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- • Ability to collaborate professionally and adapt to changing project needs.
